For those that don't know Brian O'Connor.. He's the bass player from Eagles of Death Metal, along with Brody's husband Josh Homme. He recently was diagnosed with a very advanced, nasty form of cancer. He's a working musician without any health insurance and is paying a mint for various chemo treatments and other medical expenses. Last summer a benefit concert was held for him, but since then support has dropped off.
In order to drum up more support for BOC (Brian), my girlfriend Tracey has decided to run the LA marathon to raise money for his relief fund. She recently lost her father to cancer so she's honoring his memory while helping out someone who is currently fighting cancer.
