i absolutely LOVE the misfits... danzig or graves, i don't care! (tthe new line-up with jerry singing doesn't sound too promising to me, though)

got to love it all - i started playing bass because of dee dee ramone and jerry only n' now i'm slowly - oh so slowly - working my way through the 'fits back catalogue. i saw the jerry/dez cadena/robo line up in manchester last year though i gotta admit the black flag stuff packed more of a whallop live. supposed to be a new album out this year too - kinda sounds like earth ad according to jerry, though i gotta admit that's probably my least favourite misfits record

i thought the reason chud & michale left the misfits was that jerry had said they wouldn't make new songs anymore but just keep playing the old ones? but i'd like a new album, just as long as jerry won't fuck the vocals up.

i should dwl more songs/albums
but i really do like what i know

even with the line up changes they're still my favorite band to listen to. i saw them last year, it was one of the best shows i've ever been to

michale & chud left mid-gig some years ago to form their own band and promptly sunk like a stone turd. there's a report about it on the rolling stone site. doyle 'retired' from preforming in the aftermath and left jerry to struggle on alone. what did you think of jerry singing on project 1950? it wasn't bad but i'm hoping dez will be leading the line for the new album

I haven't listened to The Misfits in a looooooooooooong assed time.

dont hate me for saying this but danzig always sounds the same like there's no emotion in his singing?
at least most of the songs i heard... kinda reminds me of tiger army... where the guy in tiger army only sings one way...

i haven't heard it but i've heard other people's opinions that aren't very promising...i personally like michale's solo stuff but everybody has their own taste.

I don't consider post-Danzig "misfits" to actually be the misfits. Completely different sound. Completely different band.

well, Danzig pretty much did everything for the band's music. Wrote the lyrics, the music, produced all the work, and the rest of the members, I'm sorry, but lacked talent.

do they sing in japanese or is the singer just really garbled with his voice? i don't mean that to be offensive i just honestly can't tell from the quality of some downloads i've heard. i do like the pictures with jerry only for the split single they did - balzac look like they're being photographed with an embarassing uncle at a family get together.
