So, i decided to make this thread. to get all of our opinions of the possible ways for an economic change flowing about, and flowing about. out to sea and back foaming in the whale piss and gobbled up by sharks, spreading it all over like hot oil on a sexy ass woman or man.

First opinion of an economic change i would like to announce, is;
the manufacturing of Marijuana

If marijuana were made legal, sold cheaper. and taxed at a reasonable price. wouldnt you think, it could possibly help our economy with the financial crisis we are experiencing?
I just believe, that anyway that marijuana could be made legal would help us graciously when of course intertwined with standards and rules like cigarettes and alcohol. Which both happen to be the' most demanded products that have not had any ruins to this economic situation. so what would marijuana do?

what do you think?

My answer to drugs is always no.

I'm fucking sick of the economy. Unfortunately I study economics so I have to memorise all the fiscal/monetary/government policies etc., aargh.

When it comes to economics I tend to lean to the left (the Finnish variant, the American "left" is a joke). If individuals weren't controlled by law, this world would be in chaos (no matter what some anarchists scream). And as economics is made up of inidividuals dealing with each other, the same applies there as well. So regulation is needed to avoid economic chaos. Tadaa.

I deserve a Nobel Prize for this brilliant theory.

But anyway, I prefer positive freedom over negative freedom, think it is better to be inefficient but fair, and am adamant in my belief that everything should not be controlled by the economy- that life should consist of other things as well, even if that means lowering our living standards.

Amen.
(I shouldn't be allowed to write anything when I am tired and suffering from jet-lag.. Sorry).

i agree. especially with lowering the living standards.
like a partial example: the demand for brand new vehicles... 1 in every damn possible color in every make and model, all because they buyers want to buy it N.O.W. and not wait for the factory to paint their color selection. so we're spending and loaning more money for car companies more than we are making the mula of selling them $$ because when people want it they want it now.

but thats just one of the small things along the many factors of the specific situation of demand demand demand.

one thing we all do know, is people wont change. and im doubtful of any of this changing. because people are greedy and want to "beat another companies sales" or "roll in the $$$" or "get what they want when they want it and thats now" etc. all because they are getting greedy. greed never seems to go away.

I was thinking a few days back..

If we stopped all production of all durable goods, only producing non-durable goods like food and toilet paper.. How long would it take before we really need to start producing again? There are so many cars, clothes, furniture etc. in the world that I suspect it would take quite a while.

This of course only refers to developed countries, not India and the like.

But when you go to a store like H&M and look at all the clothes.. There's no way everything is going to be cleared, even after sales. And apparently those that are left are thrown to the garbage. It seems like such a waste. These kids buying clothes only because they're trendy.. So what if brown is the new black, that doesn't make one's black shirt unwearable all of a sudden!
