The theme is computer game characters, any ideas?
Post pics if you can I don't really know that much about computer games.

I'd prefer it to be relatively cheap and easy to put together.

okay, okay, seriously. i'm probably the last person who should be advising you about this, actually, but i think you should go for something old school that's easily recognizable, not like tombi here. mario brothers would be easy; they wear long sleeved shirts and overalls and those goofy hats. not very glamourous, but potentially cute.
