So no good?

I want to take the book with me but it's the whole series in one book so it's... heavy... and I don't think I wanna.
[/quote:2xmae8kn]

well, it was OK, but finishing a book in one day kinda makes me feel like there's not much to it.

hmm...i think if i added together the number of pages in each of my books, it would be a higher number. but maybe yours is just typed in a smaller font.

that's pretty cool!
what are/were you studying?

I can't really say if I like it or not, I have only read the first 5 tablets yet.
It's fun reading though. Lots of repetitions. And I like the fact that it's so damn old. 8]

That book is really good, BUT, I thought the film was better. Probably the only case ever, where the film is better than the book. But that's just my opinion.

I guess, i guess.
But they changed the story a lot in the movie. Really surprised at the brilliant actors in that movie. I really didn't think Tom Cruise could do such a role. Neither Kirsten Dunst, and certainly not at that age. But yeah. I liked the book better though. Even though the movie had Antonio Banderas xD

Now I'm reading His Dark Materials.. the third one. Don't know what it's called in English. I could google it, but I'm too laze xD

The Alienist-Caleb Carr, mystery/detective novel about a psychologist (back in the 1880's people called them alienist) tracking a serial killer in New York City.

Just finished up The Lovely Bones and Almost Moon by Alice Sebold. I love her writing style.

Everything else I read is about Buddhism or the Dalai Lama or Tibet.

But, I find time to always slip a novel in here or there. It's kind of like when you overplay a CD -- sometimes you just need a divorce for a while.. but I always find my nose back into a Buddhism book. They're fascinating.

I prefer the book. The book is wonderful, the film fails on my levels. Not least the casting - Pitt is woefully miscast as Louis as is Antonio as Armand.

The sequel was even worse, it managed to butcher two books in one go.

I like them, they've all been put together in one book so it's quite a hefty read, but worth it.
The ones towards the end aren't there, I think Ted burnt them or something, but it's best that they aren't I don't think I would have read them if they were there, too personal

The Angel of Darkness-Caleb Carr. Another detective novel but also in depth insight into human sanity or one could say insanity.

The Idiot - Fydor Dostoyevsky
I've not read this one before so we'll have to see what it's like but I've got high hopes as Crime and Punishment is one of my all time favourite books

I borrowed Enduring Love from the library yesterday. It's by Ian McEwan for those who didn't know.
I haven't read the other book.... atonement or whatever though but yeah.
I've gotten to the third chapter and I quite like his style of writing and his way of explaining things.
So now I'm gonna sit and read all through my school day and ignore everything else : D
