Ooookay so if I stopped eating, would it be classed as anorexia? How bad is it really? I can't really say anything to anyone else without them battering me :)

depends on why you stopped eating... if you stopped because you thought you were fat when in fact you were normal, then it would be anorexia nervosa. if you stopped because you are tying to make a point, then it's not...

you don't need to diet. just eat healthy. don't eat so much meat or drink so much milk and excersise a little. eating is important. it, you know, helps keep you alive. and stuff.

But I totally agree it is weird.

it doesnt matter as long as once you have dropped below 100 lbs you start eating again and do NOT lose anymore weight

that's not true either. depending on your height, healthy weight changes. i'm 5'7 and weigh 110lbs (without being pregnant) and i am still waaay under-weight for my height.

fuck your skinny, if you starve yourself you end up gaining more weight when you start to eat again. your body will store even a tiny amount of food as fat to nourish it. so starving could make you gain more weight than before. milk can help loose weight...eat protein, drink water.

that's true...i would advise not to weigh yourself, honestly, some people get obsessed and freak out when they're over 120 pounds, but like they said before, it depends on your height.. how tall are you? well here's a chart of what your weight should be according to your height...

that site is biased and is aimed to entice you to become a vegan. Most milk products are safe to give to children...if milk is genetically mutated or changed its required they put it on the package. Your boobs produce milk for babies...a sign that kids and humans should be drinking some kind of milk.

milk is mixed in w/ blood and pus and a bunch of chemicals...some people's bodies just reject it.. i know mine does..if i eat or drink something and feel like shit afterwards then it's a sign that my body can't handle it so therefore i don't eat or drink it.

it rare for people to not be able to drink milk, its rare but not all milk is bad for humans. most people are cautious abt milk but yet they eat fast food.

id never go vegan...its not heathly to never eat meat, you need some meat every now and then. plus vegan food taste like shit. My friend is a die hard vegan and she lost a bunch of weight, has awful skin, and looks pasty all the time. she takes of vitamins to make up for the lack of protein and such.

anyways, lose weight the healthy weight: get off your ass walk or run and control food intake, eat a salad instead of junk food.

on the contrary, all humans are naturally lactose intolerant. do your research. milk wouldn't be all that horrible for you if farmers didn't pump their cows with shittons of hormones for bigger beaf. meat and milk is the main cause of kids going through puberty at such early ages these days. not only that, but they've also found that milk is also the leading cause of osteoporosis. remember how they used to have those commercials where they would say, "milk helps women from getting osteoporosis!" think about the last time you saw one of those.... they were forced to take them off the air.
also think about this... yes. as you say, it is normal for animals to drink milk in general. but only when they're infants. humans are the only animal on the planet that continue drinking milk after infancy. how normal is that? it's because [i:1fegn8rw]after[/i:1fegn8rw] infancy all animals become lactose intolerant. drinking milk at our age is as natural as eating a big mac; it isn't natural. it isn't healthy.

it's not healthy because you lose certain things from your diet. but since more and more people are becoming vegan, they're inventing replacement foods that have these vitamins and things that you need. it's healthier these days to be vegan that it is to eat meat. trust me. i know. like i said, do the research before you form an opinion.

i agree with everything you said. i would also like to add that other animals drink their mother's milk, milk made by their own species- humans drink COWS' milk.

you said it...inventing food? sounds just as bad. My opinion is i love meat, so id personally never give it up. animals are made to eat, except domestic animals. Alot of farms not use only organic feeding processes and have special filters to pasterize cows. so they only think you drink is milk. yes there are still alot of farms that use hormones and articifical practices, but i buy only organic milk.
if milk is such a health problem, why do they keep selling it? by law the FDA would have to ban milk if it were proven to cause major health effects and producers would be sued.

1. If you stop eating meat, you must be careful because you have to eat a lot more foods with protein and iron. Not all meat is bad and pumped with drugs. Eat "organic" meat or whatever it's called. I don't recommend to stop eating meat. Eat lean meat, Fish and Chicken are good for protein.

2. Cut calories. When I started losing weight I put myself on a 1300-1500 calorie a day diet, and it works!

3. Water is your friend. Not only does it help you lose weight faster than drinking diet soda, it's good for your body and your skin. You're suppose to drink half of your body weight in ounces everyday....but who could do that?

2. I agree with Court. Drink milk, organic milk. If you don't like milk, take calcium vitamins.

3. Unless you don't eat chips, cakes, cookies, sugar, etc...don't talk about how bad meat or milk is. Because you're still poisoning your body...hell, you poison your body everytime you walk outside with all the toxins in the air.

inventing food has been around since there have been kitchens. who invented chicken nuggets? it was invented.

it's called a substitute. there are substitute sour creams, milks, meats (AKA tofu), even eggs. just because you can't see yourself giving up meat doesn't make it healthy.

as for your "why sell food that's bad for you" comment.... well, they're still selling cigarettes and booze, aren't they? both can eventually lead to even [i:em8twgjo]death[/i:em8twgjo]. they sell it because people buy it. for lack of a better phraze, this IS a fast food nation. virtually nothing is healthy about it. and whether you'd like to admit it or not, neither is meat. for the third time, do some research.

i'm not telling you what to eat. I'M not even vegan. i'm just stating the mear fact that it isn't very healthy and there are better alternatives for those who care. you don't care. good, i'm glad. but for those who do, this is for them.

meat is healthy is moderation...i dont load up on steak every day of the week. i agree this is a fast food nation and yes they do sell cigarettes and alcohol but everone knows they lead to cancer and health risks. where as some milk and dairy products, not as many people are informed and thats why the FDA must put on the label the health risk involved.
im healthy, i eat dairy, meat and food substitutes. I think its extreme to completely cut out food groups.

not as many people are informed because these are recent developments. just because it isn't common knowledge yet doesn't make it a myth. it's not cutting out food groups, as you say, if you substitute them in a healthy way. there are tons of books on this. i'm tired of debating this. i've done my homework. you guys obviously haven't. do what you want, i'll do what i want and we can just agree to disagree. this is ridiculous and out of hand.

well, generally speaking i've never really been into sweets or junkfood. not even as a kid. so i didn't really have to change much. at least not yet. i'm only two months pregnant. i'm not even showing yet. in the first trimester, you're only supposed to add 100 calories. which isn't very much. but pregnant women do need lots and lots of folic acid (you get that from green vegetables, spinach is your best friend). other than that, there's not much of a difference for me. i basically just added a meal or two a day. which is the main reason why i'm not vegan. you see, i just can't [i:18dcflp4]stand[/i:18dcflp4] soy milk or tofu. and if you don't have those things in a vegan diet, well it's difficult to get around. hah. and since i don't drink much milk, yogurt has become my second best friend.

yeh it seems within the first four months, it's really hard to eat. i have such trouble deciding what to eat. my sister is two months ahead of me in her pregnancy. she told me that the first few months, it's really hard to get food down.

Even with certain substitutes you have to take extra vitamins. My brother's friend is a vegan and he has to take them everyday because he's not really getting what he needs.

My sister got horrible morning sickness when she was pregnant the first time. "Eat a green thing everyday" .

If you don't like the post then fuck off and don't read it.

I bet your one of the people who think self-harming is to get attention too.

i guess it depends on what you eat. i live behind a vegan grocery store and they have pretty much everything that you need for a daily diet.

that's sad for your sister. only 1 in 3 pregnant women are stricken with morning sickness. thankfully, i'm not one of them.

No, I think people was eating disorders and self harming tendencies are individuals who need help and guidance and understanding....I also think that they wouldn't go around announcing it on Band message boards so everyone will feel sorry for them and give them attention....retard.

that was my point ^

I just wanted to stop eating

Why is it not possible for some people to beleive that other people do actually have 'problems'
I don't need people telling me about parading it around, I posted it here cos its the questions & advice board. The best place to post it.
If for some reason you think I would make it up, It would be much appreciated if you could stop making trouble and fuck off.

let's drop the incesant bashing. this is supposed to be a peaceful community. if you can't express your opinion civilly, it's best to keep it to yourself or in PM's.
