Help me pick a camera

I have it narrowed down to two. I have no idea what some of the features are. I know nothing about cameras (and I almost went to college to be a photographer. hm). I'm not doing anything special with it. Just an everyday camera. I just want one that's not going to break in two weeks. The reviews on the website aren't very helpful.

Panasonic point&shoot cameras are pretty good, and fujifilm are too.
I'd ask in the store for better advice
