As for a new Distillers album...mm I wonder how that'll sound. I've gotten so used to Spinnerette, I'd actually rather hear more of an evolution of that sound than the Distillers.

If new album sounds like Cincinatti, the Distillers album will be amazing

The break up was kind of dramatic, you guys know. But all those unnecessary quotes said by Ryan like "[The Distillers are no more and] it feels like a weight has been lifted" and "I'll never get rid of the disgust inside from it all"... Jackass.

And I really don't believe in this reunion. Brody once said: "The Distillers is no more. It's been over for me for years now, going back would seem redundant". But who knows... She is always surprising us.

Like I said I can't really remember the break up, I kind of missed that somehow, even though I was following the distillers before, I remember some of the stories about it, by the sound of it Brody was kind of being a bitch too.

I agree about the reunion being dubious, I have a feeling its not really gonna sound like them, cause Brody seems like she wants to make a different type of music.

I could be wrong though, she could've just decided the Spinnerette sound wasn't working for her or whatever.

I am happy we get to see Andy again though.

...I did notice that www.thedistillers.com is no more, BUT www.thedistillersmusic.com is a legit site that brings you to a choice of Distillers -OR- Spinnerette. So maybe tis all real talk. But, we'll see.... I've come to not believe it til I see it.

That's the old site, its been there since the official Spinnerette site arrived I believe. I think they kept it cause of the gallery.

Sometimes when you miss something (or being a part of something) you don't are what other people have to say about it, you just want it back.

I wouldn't see it as her giving in to what the critics are saying.

I know for a fact they were in the studio...its just a matter of it ever being released.


I cant speak for Brody, but I dont think its matter of giving into critics at all. I think it depends where her pen and guitar are leading her. She wants to move around, experiment, and play with different bands.

I agree, I don't discredit the rumours based on the theory that she's giving in to critics. If she's recording as The Distillers again, it's her decision and it's what she wants to do, and that's awesome. Just because she might be doing that doesn't mean she's abandoned Spinnerette. She did say earlier in the year that there would be two albums.

She said the same thing about one album like 5 years ago.

I still remember it. "Next year we're gonna do a Spinnerette album hurp durp." 6 YEARS LATER...

Im coming with the attitude of "if it gets released then cool. I hope it's good shit...if not I'll keep listening to Autolux's Transit Transit." That way I dont get let down if it never comes out, etc.

The fans really want The Distillers back, regardless I want a new Distillers or Spinnerette record.

Spinnerette didn't really work for me. I got bored of them extremely quickly.
I think the reason I miss The Distillers so much is cause I never got to see them live.

If Spinnerette or The Distillers bring out new stuff I'll check it out, cause Brody's still one of my favourite singers. Probably will try see them live too, even if I'm not that into the new stuff, just to kind of satisfy my craving so to speak.

But what I really want is a time machine, so I can go back and see them live.

well toward the end of her tour in Australia I remember her mentioning in her interviews that she missed her distillers days and the guys... so i would not be surprise if they got back at least for one more album and tour... lately her official distiller facebook have been more active then her spinnerette one ... they been asking fans to make video performing their songs.. and she even ask a fan who made a you tube video to send her his info.. cause she love his drawings.. hopefully the rummer are true or she just come out with an album... But it look like is going that way she have more distillers fans than spinnerette just by the reaction and activity going on in facebook.


p.s official distillers are focusing more on facebook than myspace.

Where did you find the facebook page? Cuz the auto page I get (from my liked music) is nothing but a wiki stub page.

I have written to both their supposed Myspace and Facebook admins, and I can tell you that neither are official band pages, based on the conversation shared. The door to this hope can be closed.

i have a feeling it's probably the label the distillers were under, they probably had some one that works for them to do all of that, i mean really, the distillers myspace page had rancid on their top, im just saying looks a little fishy.
