The forthcoming [Spinnerette] full-length offers a far more three-dimensional insight into its Australian-born auteur’s tastes and talent than the conservative punk-rock aesthetic would ever have allowed. “Exactly,” says Dalle, “If you don’t fit in the category, you don’t really have a chance. Why does everything have to fit into a category? Why does everyone have to wear a uniform? Spinnerette was originally going to be a lot more electronic, but I still wanna be in a rock ‘n roll band. I love guitars too much. So it’s exactly the kind of wasteland I wanted to be in.”
